Abstract

The author investigates the 2006 Nigerian census, which was disputed by various factions of the public and private sectors. It is argued that Nigeria's national head counts have, for the most part, seldom won nationwide acceptance. The article attempts to ascertain some of the reasons for these disagreements and ponders possible solutions to the problem.
