Description
In this interview longtime Washtenaw County resident Ameera shares her experiences at Ypsi Pride, explaining that this was their first year attending Pride while also being an Ypsi resident. Ameera explores her love for Ypsilanti, stating that it is eclectic, diverse, and has a rich queer community. She also talks about being raised with privilege since queerness was normalized for her at school, building support networks, and shares her love for poetry detailing that she recently self-published a collection of her poems.
