Description
The EMU Women in Philanthropy Oral History Project documents the organization's history across its 15 years of giving to the EMU community. In 2025, Matt Jones sat down with Maureen Thomas, an EMU alumna and former Chair of the EMU Foundation, to talk about her early involvement with WIP. Thomas was another one of WIP's early members, having joined in 2009 after first hearing about its development. In this interview she discusses her educational and professional experiences at EMU, what parts of WIP resonate with her, as well as some of the challenges-and successes-that the organization has seen over the years.
