Abstract

Modeling effective technology use is an important strategy to prepare teachers for technology integration. However, modeling emerging technological innovations and pedagogies, such as social technologies, mobile learning, maker education, personalized learning, adaptive learning, learning analytics, coding, game-based learning, open educational resources, social media, and artificial intelligence, is less described and discussed in the literature. Therefore, this symposium aims to present how teacher educators model innovative technology use and emerging technologies in teacher education and professional development and facilitate conversations among teacher educators and practitioners in the field on such topics. There will be six presentations focusing on various topics. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in these conversations and initiate collaborations in research and practice.
